Christmas Cracker! Concert for the Shakespeare Hospice 23rd November 2014

The full company will perform another "Christmas" concert for the Shakespeare Hospice, Stratford, which will be on Sunday 23rd November 2014 at Stratford Civic Hall – which has changed its name to Stratford Art House. There will be two performances, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Generally a DVD of the perfomace is sold to raise more funds.

This was the Midland Voices' 10th Concert at Warwick Arts Centre.

The show featured songs from Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, South Pacific, Fame, Chess, Rent, Grease, Ragtime and more.

Balsall Singers Daytime Choir Fascinating Rhythm Concert 19/10/2013

A 70 strong choir based in Balsall Common held a fund raising concert at Heart of England School, Balsall Common on 19th October 2013. The show's title was Fascinating Rhythm and provided a varied programme of popular songs, and songs from shows and movies, together with vocal and instrumental solos and comedy numbers from two home grown “tribute groups”. Musical arrangements were again provided by Gary Griffiths

The singers entertained a full house, and Guests of Honour were Councillor Joe and Mrs Joan Tildesley, Mayor and Mayoress of Solihull. Founder of the Choir and Musical Director Barry Todd was taken seriously ill two weeks before the concert, but with the support of his wife Carol, it was agreed that the concert would take place as planned.

Leamington Choir “I Got Rhythm” Concert on 9th February 2013

The Midland Voices Leamington Daytime Choir raised £2,660 for Molly Olly’s Wishes Charity with its “I Got Rhythm” Concert on 9th February 2013.

The 70 strong choir held its third concert at Kingsley School and raised nearly £2,700 for the support organisation set up in memory of Molly the granddaughter of one of the choir’s most senior members. His daughter Rachel addressed the 240 strong audience to explain how Molly had wanted to help other Children and after her brave battle ended they set up the Molly Olly’s Wishes organisation (www.mollyolly.co.uk/) to support children and their families in the Midlands with terminal and life threatening illnesses.
